The Strandja participation was organized by the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation in partnership with the Strandja Nature Park Directorate within the project "Cooperation for biodiversity conservation and sustainable local development in Strandja mountain”, implemented with the financial support from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the financial mechanism of the European Economic Area.
The fair was attended by other Bulgarian parks, nature conservation organizations, municipalities, producers of bio-products from Bulgaria and abroad, manufacturers of travel equipment, etc. The aim was to promote environmentally friendly businesses and benefits for people and nature, opportunities for sustainable tourism and green lifestyle. Within the Green days were also organized: Green Film Festival, International conference "Green Tourism Destination", two photo exhibitions about the Bulgarian nature, a campaign to clean the South Park and others.
The event was organized by the Bulgarian Association for Alternative Tourism in partnership with the Sofia Municipality, the French Institute - Sofia, Odyssey-In Agency, the For the Nature Coalition, etc.
